Pastor Donna G. Slater is the wife of Bishop J. Lee Slater, the mother of four adult children, Valerie(Billy), Twin sons Joshua Lee and Travis Lee, son Matthew Lee and proud “Gannie” of three, ages 13, 6 and 1 year old. She is an Ordained Pastor and a native of Dallas, Texas.

Pastor Donna and her husband, Bishop J. Lee Slater, are co-founders of New
Millennium Bible Fellowship (NMBF), located in the heart of Pleasant Grove, District 5 in the Southeast Dallas area surrounded by Balch Springs and Mesquite, Texas. The NMBF Praise Center ministry was birth with 11 partners, 5 adults and 6 children in January 2001.
 
Pastor Donna and Bishop Slater has nine spiritual pastoring sons and daughters in the areas of Dallas, Balch Springs, Garland, Forney, Seagoville and Bastrop, Texas; Riviera Beach, Florida and Johannesburg South Africa. They also have a host of individuals they mentor consecutively.

As being licensed and ordained, Pastor Donna’s ministry reaches many facets of life as her witnessing is shared with people she meets daily. Her passion for practical application and teaching has opened many doors of opportunities to pour into the lives of those that God has strategically placed on her
journey.

Pastor Donna preaches in and out of season. She hosts a powerful life changing and Spiritual fulfillment annual women’s Summit titled, “Spiritual Strip Down – Face to Face with God.” in which women travel from cities and states to attend.

She has been blessed to be keynote speaker of the Baptist General Convention “Church Planters Wives Conference” in Tyler, TX, and various other churches, conferences, and revivals near and far. Pastor Donna was honored as the recipient of the “First Lady: Extending the Legacy Woman to Woman”
award honored by the National Council of Negro Women, Inc., T. Mathis-Hawkins Section.

Pastor Donna volunteers and has volunteered with several organizations such as, Dare to Dream, a children’s foundation; Convoy of Hope, a national evangelism food sharing program; the Billy Graham World Evangelism, as a local supervisor, a Census 2010 Supervisor and 2020 volunteer. She has been a
PTA President and awarded as a “Volunteer of the Year” with her local HeadStart National Preschool Education Program to name a few.

Pastor Donna currently serves on the board of the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Center, Dallas, Texas, appointed to proudly represent District 5 originally by Honorable Councilmember Rickey D. Callahan and now currently by Deputy Mayor Pro Tem, The Honorable Jaime Resendez. She is on the Board of The Greater Dallas Coalition of Churches and the Parkland Health Community Development Board, Southeast Dallas Health Center.
 
As one of four Board Advisors for the BMW- Better Me Within program by way of the University of North Texas Health and Science Center, a program geared toward the fight of obesity in African American Women, she has co-authored a curriculum which encouraged recognition and the opportunity to present on the panel during the TPHA (Texas Public Health Association) Conference.
 
Pastor Donna also shares co-author credit in print for submitted articles in the Elsevier and as of August 20, 2020 the  American Journal of Health Promotion.
Pastor Donna has written and presented leadership trainings with her husband which has been an inspiration to churches across Texas. She has also self-authored a collection of bible study lessons such as, “Trusting the Never-Changing”, “Living a Godly Life”, “Don’t Get in Trouble” and “Replacing the
Old with the New” which are taught weekly to empower women of God through His Living Word.

Through all of the talents and gifts that the Lord has poured into Pastor Donna, she knows the best of her life is her walk with Christ; living life with humility and transparency and accepting Him as her Lord AND Savior. Her goal is to hear Him say… “Well done thy good and faithful servant”.
